Lindy Allen is a highly-experienced arts manager and event producer. Living Proof Media is an independent consultancy offering services including documentation, evaluation, writing and editing for publication. It combines the many things she is interested in: great arts projects, resilient communities, photography, film-making and writing about fabulous artists and why what they do is so important to all of us.
Her recent professional roles include Chief Executive Officer of Regional Arts Australia (2013-2014) and Chief Executive Officer of Regional Arts Victoria (2004-2012). During 2012-2013, Lindy was Executive Producer for the Centenary of Canberra’s largest national community engagement program, One River, spanning four states and a territory.
Most recently Lindy worked with Dr Donna Jackson as Managing Editor of Jackson’s book Art and Social Change, Dust: A Case Study (2015). In 2014, she wrote Belonging: Great Arts Stories from Regional Australia for Regional Arts Australia. She has written evaluation reports and created short films for a number of projects including Dust, One River and Illuminated by Fire. She has served on a number of Boards, funding panels, awards and advisory committees. Professional qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (University of Melbourne), Graduate Diploma Arts Management (University of South Australia), Photojournalism major, Bachelor of Creative Arts, Latrobe Uni Bendigo and Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
